Cool I have a confession... I think im a sellout...lol

Ok..so when i first came on here about a month or so ago I had planned on getting a 325i. I thought the debadged look was nice and smooth/clean looking. I said I am going to debadge my car as soon as I get it and that my reason was not because I was embarassed it was not a 330i. Well now that I put the order in for a 330i , I said to myself...im keepign my friggin badge on...I want people to know I got a 330i!!!!

Dude,

Congrats on the 330i order.

325 or 330 its still an awesome car and beats the C class, Acura TL and Lexus in my IMO.

I would probably debadge a 325i, I might even consider debadging a 330i, but I would never debadge the top of the line 330xi.

Keep it on to let others know it;s a 330. If you debaged it, they might think it's a 318 or whatever...

Btw, Japanese cars suit the the smooth unbadged look more... namely done up Silvia S15s.

Badges?

The front grille and side chrome are unique to the 330 in USA. Many 325 owners (myself included) get the chrome exhaust tips. Hey, it's a great car. People on e90 post make a bigger deal on the difference between a 325 and 330, but the cars are much more similar once you get out of our microcosm. I think the whole concept of debadging is silly, and I won't be doing it, but won't get bent out of shape that much if I see it done.

I have no plans to debadge my 325xiT when it comes. I want everybody behind me to know that I sport a touring model.

Oh wait....

My 330 is debadged. But if someone really is a car enthusiaste they would know its a 330 over a 325.

Chrome Door Trim.
Most people i have seen with 325 dont have chrome exhuast tips
330 Does
You can tell my the space between the wheel and the fender, its lower than a 325 (Slight) but noticeable.
And sometimes the headlights (Well like 85%) of the time. People who get the 325i sometime wont order the Xenons
Wider tire profile when looking at the rear.

Most of the time tho, if i see a stock e90 and i dont see the badge i look at the door trim first and then the rims give it away.

From what I've seen either way is good...it's your car and personal preference.

Do what you want. Glad to see you ponied up an extra $3,000+ just so you wouldn't be "embarassed". Your life is going to be very expensive, since you obviously place your self worth on the status of your material possessions.

Personally, I think that people who debadge for a certain clean look are just people who know what they want - but people who debadge because they feel inadequate are also people who stuff a sock in their pants. Eventually someone is going to see your little dick... and you'll be twice as embarassed for trying to hide it.

How very charming

I have a 325 and very happy with it. I don't want chrome around my doors. Car manufacturers spent the last 20 year de chroming their doors. Now some people paying extra to bring it back. Yukk.
