M3 mounts got here yesterday. They look similar to the stock mounts but perhaps a little thicker in the middle. They are a bit heavier, though still lighter than the UUC mounts.

The rubber, however, is much harder, I can barely get it to deform by pressing on it. Harder than the UUC and the stock mounts. Hopefully these will be the way to go. I'll install them this weekend, get some pictures of all three mounts and update.

Supposedly they're a little stiffer than the stock mounts but no harsher.

Urethane mounts are overkill for what I need, so I'm wondering if anyone's tried it on the e82?
They are the same.

RE makes a nice rubber one that is harder than OEM, but doesn't transfer anymore vibration.

Ok, sorry for the delay. I've got the M3 mounts in. Here's a writeup with a few pictures:

Short version, I preferred the M3 mounts.

I think those UUC ones will transmit a lot of NHV into the cabin. I could be wrong, so I am interested in your results.

I hear those are good ones - not bad on NVH. A friend of mine installed the UUC mounts and two weeks later switched back to stocks.

I'd like more info before upgrading.

100% agree.

To the OP. I've had the UUC mounts, the Rouge mounts, and the M3 mounts. UUC was garbage. Literally, I threw them away. The Rouge mounts were good, but the NVH increase was too much. I apearently have a very noisy transmission. Gear chatter, whine etc. can all be heard on the regular with the R.E. mounts. The M3 mounts are alittle quieter, and I run them daily, but I still get gear chatter in every gear, and it's annoying at times. The stock mounts keep everything quiet and happy.

Not everyone notices an increase in NVH with the M3 mounts, but I did. I hear it daily.

After reading your review would you say the uuc mounts provide the best shift improvement feel compared to the rest? While the m3 was better vibration control but a little bit worse shift feel?

Any update on your preference uuc vs OEM and e46 mounts?

Just wanted to give an update.. I installed the uuc black mounts (updated version )without enforcer cups . Feels AMAZING! There is maybe 5-10% increase in vibration while going WOT in the shift knob (barely if that) . I've put 800 miles on it so far and haven't missed/grinded/or got that delay when shifting hard into second. I really believe following their specific install intrusions is a must . I have now had their evo 3 ssk for 4+ years without 1 issue and the mounts im loving ! I was expecting some vibration or noise but there is truly almost none.. The car actually feels smoother . After all the horror stories I read I actually ordered e46 m3 ones but looks like I'll let them hang out in the closet for a while cause the UUC mounts are shre to stay!
