Every time I look at a 1-series...

my eyes go right to the fender point in the pic. I can't stop staring at it, like a pit in your windshield. It bugs me somehow.

Yeah, the 'Pedestrian Impaler'. That 'feature' has been on a lot BMWs over the past decade. You'll get used to it.

Looking at pictures before I got my 135, I was also worried about that point. When I got my car I looked at it and it looks fine. It's lined up well with the hood and it has become a non-issue.

Yeah thats one of those things we notice that the average person doesn't. I wouldn't worry about it, it's not unique to the 1er (as mentioned.)

There's nothing wrong with that... They make great hood ornaments.

Why is it that it doesn't seem perfectly lined up on every 1 I see. I purposefully haven't looked at mine yet, but wouldn't mind impaling a few pedestrians. They should know better when they see a 1 coming, get the hell out of the way. And don't scratch my paint job either during the impaling. Much obliged.

I see it all the time, too. Unfortunately my eye finds flaws or potential flaws without even trying. It's a curse. Just ask the wife.

Easily fixed... just adjust the rubber (screw) bumper under the hood. Mine came like the photo but is now PERFECT!

That's why they fitted 6 piston brakes. Just hit them hard to clear anyone stuck to your front end.
