Combox with business Navi

Hello all,

I have a previous thread regarding addition of Bluetooth audio streaming to my CIC, however it's now been hijacked with talk of bluetooth adaptors, which I'm not interested in.

So I decided to do some research of my own, and it turns out that it seems that I need a combox to get the bluetooth audio system working.

I have the following options, according to the dealer printout:

S606A Navigation System Business
S621A BMW assist
S615A Expanded BMW Online Information
S616A BMW Online
S633A Preperation mobile phone business
S676A HiFi Speaker System
S698A Area code 2 for DVD
S6AAA BMW Teleservices
S6ABA Control for teleservices
S6FLA USB/Audio interface
S6NFA Music interface for smartphone
P7HEA Connectivity Pack
S7SNA Nav Business cellphone prep. bluetooth.

With all those options it seems strange that the bluetooth streaming doesn't work or I dont have the combox. But it doesn't work so I guess I dont.

So, is it possible / worth it to add the combox to the business navi?

I'm looking to upgrade/retrofit in the future to BMW apps too. Is this possible with the business navi? Or should I start saving now for a prof navi CIC retrofit?

I was interested in getting streaming to work also. I have a 2011 with the COMBOX (but no idrive/ccc) and it doesn't seem to stream music.

According to bmwvin.com here is what I've got:

So what exactly is needed for Bluetooth music streaming?

BTW have you checked this you an input your VIN and it shows what works or doesn't with different networks and phones.

Thanks gangplank. Checked it and there is no mention of streaming. So looks fairly certain that I dont have a conbox.

So back to the original question. Is it possible to add the combox to business navi?

Is it worth persevering with the business navi if I want to upgrade in the future to the latest upgrades etc? or should i try and replace it with a professional?

So other than streaming music, controlling it from the steering wheel and having track info show up on the idrive, what else are you looking to have?

Basically I'd like to upgrade to all of the latest features. become NBT. ConnectedDrive in with apps, in particular spotify, internet, video streaming, remote services, DVD playback, the possibility of adding DVB-T tuner etc.

Is any/some of this possible with the business navi?
