HID/Angel eyes conversion in US

I bought the first one available on the lot at the time that was close to what the wife wanted (one day late for her birthday) but REALLY want the HID/angel eyes. I went to the dealer Friday, Parts could not find me a "conversion kit" just an exploded view of all the parts. He listed about $700/headlight assembly/side, did not tell me how much the control unit was, and said there would be labor to do it all. Anyone know of a specific conversion kit in previous years, maybe I just have to wait? My brother is good friends with the service manager, I have to make a return visit . . .

I'm not sure there will be a conversion kit(I hope I'm wrong), I think the dealer will only carry *replacement parts* and you have to buy all the parts and install them. Either way, keep us informed on what you find!

BTW, AWESOME gift for the wife!!

Wish I could say it was only for the wife I think I have driven more of the 1500 miles to date. It's her day to day car, and she doesn't like my pickup so when we go somewhere as a family, I "have" to drive it. Will put another 400 miles of fast and mountian driving this weekend.

The E46 had conversion kits, the wiring between the 2 types of lights were different.

Also they car had to be programmed with new software for the Xenons

Type in "Bmw E90" at ebay.com - there's adaptive xenon and regular xenon conversion kits - both look the same.
