rough idle

This morning on starting up the car it's having a bad rough idle and when I accererate it's still there about ten minutes of driving it went away and the check engine light came on and went off, I have a 135i '09 can I get a suggestion as to what the problem might be?

Before today I never had a problem.

bad gas, water in the gas, fuel delivery

I've had this from bad gas before. Is that possible in your case?

This morning I put a fresh tank in but so far it's the same, is it possible to be a injector, or power pack, or even a O2 sensor? Even when I'm excellerating it's missing/ bucking.

Have you tried cleaning/replacing your air filter? If you are under warranty just take into the your local shop. Sounds like a minor issue.

In reverse order of expense: check injectors (we're yours subject to the recall?), replace coil packs and/or sparkplugs, new tank of better gas.

Since the light went on, it now has a code.
You can go to Autozone and have the code read.
But, that'll just tell you what the code is.
You're better off just taking it to the dealer and have them diagnose and fix it. It could be a number of things from bad fuel to injectors to ignition coils.
Ignition coils have come up on a few 1's.
Check it checked out and don't worry about it.

AH! Little furry bastard!

I had a problem with my TPMS. There was a bad connection to the main unit. I think a mouse ate through the wire as I had a mouse problem right before it happened.

Next time you go on vacation or leave your car undriven for a while, get one of those mouse traps where you put some food in it, then you twist the top to set it, and when the mouse enters the hole to get the food it snaps back and sends Mickey to mouse heaven. It's a very clean device.
It looks like a huge black hockey puck with a hole in it.
Works very well.
