Does the 1m front bumper fit a 135i?

Are they the same width in the front?

Only "fits" if you (probably) also install 1M front fenders too!

And... the rear quarters are really flared out. Just check out that the gas door looks to be modified bc of the wheel arch flaring runs into its lower edge! That is WIDE BABY!

I wonder if the fenders + bumper combo will fit. It would be nice to be able to run 255/255 square with OEM BMW bolt on body parts.

NO............but with the same breath YES. It can be done. You must have body shop skills<mad skills>
Get yourself an M1 bumper.
Remove your bumper.
Test fit the M1 bumper on your car.
Take measurement of how much the bumper stick out from the fenders
Take those measurements(2in 3inches....etc)
Now mark the center of the M1 bumper
Remember! Measure twice, cut once
Cut the M1 bumper down the center...removing the excess(inches) that was making it stick out at the fenders.
Test fit....test fit, test fit these 2 pcs.
Now, its time to join the 2 pcs together. Body shop skills here
Use chicken wire/rivets/bando....etc.
Test fit, test fit...
You gonna have to shave/reshape the edges of the bumper a little to get it to line up with the regular 1er fenders..
Lots of sand paper............etc.
Im pretty sure by now, you get the idea.
----<You do have some hope that someone in the after market community will copy this pumper and make it out fiber glass/ Carbon fiber!?!?!? to fit out 1ers>--

This is what the B5 Audi A4/S4 people have been doing the last 10 years, with an Euro RS4 Avant front bumpers....Lots of work, but the bumper looked Awesome!!!

It would be far cheaper to have a bodyshop just reshape the air scoops at the bottom to match, instead of buying a new 1M bumper, hacking it to bits, and having it all molded & resprayed.

I'm going to guess that anyone getting the bumper would also be trying to get the fenders as well for the full widebody, otherwise what would be the point?

It's easy enough to get the M3 suspension bits, and AFAIK Tischer sells M3 side mirrors and other parts to the 3er Series crowd.

But I HAVE wondered why no one has tried to mount an M3 LSD in a 1er or 3er (that I know of) - maybe they only control the release of certain parts?

if you can get e46 m3 csl parts, i'm sure getting parts for a u.s. dot approved car won't be that hard.

xyz body shop: we have a customer that needs a new front bumper and fenders?
BMW parts guy: what happened?
xyz body shop: rear-ended someone, turned DTC off on a rainy day, trying to impress a girl.
BMW parts guy: VIN?
xyz body shop: blah blah blah
BMW parts guy: on order

I'm sure after a year of release there will be an after market available. Take E46 for example. After market M3 parts are available to nonM E46 specs.
