Volk TE37s

Finally got these on.

I know they won't be to everyone's taste but I'm a sucker for a japanese wheel, and I think I've only seen one other 135i running them.

Only have a couple of iphone snaps, will add better pictures when I get them
Specs:
Front: 18x8.5et35 with 225/40/18 Toyo R888
Rear: 18x9.5et50 with 255/35/18 Toyo R888

Also R888s are chunky, these are both 255s.

I don't think they look too bad, although dropping the car some would probably set it off. How's the fitment of the fronts? Any rubbing or contact anywhere?

I'm a sucker for Volks and Works too, but I just think TE's need to be concaved to look any kind of good.

You have a sense for good wheels though!

Great wheels! The quality of Volks is incredible. It amazes me how good my wheels made in 2004 still look (mine were part of a E46 group order). It's also interesting how different the lip on my rear wheel is with only a 5mm difference in offset vs yours.

Ended up costing a fair bit. Bought them second hand off this forum. They arrived and two weren't straight so ended up having to get them repaired and repainted.

Car usually isn't as high as it looks in these photos, maybe because I had literally just dropped it off the jack.
Tyres are pretty much level with the guards, not looking to go lower as I actually drive on bumpy roads and on the track, plus my current driveway is super steep. No rubbing yet, all guards are rolled with a slight pull at the front. Camber is around -2.5 on the front and -1.5 on the rear.

Yeah wish they were concave also, but not gonna happen with 1 series offsets

Maybe it's my phone screen but are my eyes playing tricks? Do you have a front lip?

I love it. I love how you are rocking square shouldered tires. Looks legit. R888 do run wide. I run 265/35/18 square and they are more like a 275 square set up.

I am a bit torn about stickers. If I get them I will probably go with black.

Also not sure about the flat centre caps either.

Thanks OP.

Well the OP's pictures convinced me that 18" (vs 19") is the right size wheel for my 135i.

I'm not sure if I like the look of them though; although, I know that the TE37 is a fine wheel. I'm very surprised they were bent, because I've heard so many brag about their durability.

I really like the look of the BBS CH-R, but the numerous knock offs just don't do it for me. Somehow they just don't have the class and look of the BBS.

BTW, If any of you are thinking about tires, I replaced my RFTs with Michelin A/S 3s. They were a little expensive, less than $900, but they work great on my car. If I get the BBS wheels, their shoes will be the Michelin PSS!

This gives a slightly better idea of the ride height and colour.
I'm thinking I'll ditch the centre caps as they seem to accentuate the flatness, just need to clean up and paint the rusty hub bores first.
Have also ordered some black stickers for the spokes.

Whoa! I looked up the price of TE37s in 18", and they are nearly $1,000 each!
