Cobb AP V3 releases soon!

Anybody looking to trade-in their Cobb AP ver 2 to Ver 3, 50% off.

V3 is looking much nicer with the larger screen.

Release date: 29th August. I think I'll bite!

seems to be just a device upgrade and interface, nothing to do with maps, better visuals with logging and what not and a lot bigger. If you go on their website they don't have one for BMW models yet, only Mazda and a couple others.

On/Off switch so you dont have to unplug it like the current one.

Faster uploads or maps

On the fly map changing (I am almost 100% possitive on)

Faster data logging

You can see 6 different paramaters at a single time for monitoring

changable face plates and mounting hardware

and there are some other benefits but it is much better than the current offering. and itll only be 50 dollars more MSRO than the current one.

Logging speed is limited by the OBDII port speed.
i believe they said partial writes will be possible?

not totally sure what that means, but not a full flash?

idk, could be remembering wrong, has been a busy day or 2 haha.

damn i have just bought a cobb recently also, but i must admit this unit looks pretty damn slick albeit I don't want that sitting on my dash all the time but it would be great for monitoring parameters as required.

No one the fly switching yet, but it is possible.. we'll see if I can mak it happen at some point.

Logging speed is increased on the V3. The OBD2 speed does have restrictions, but with the faster processor, we are able to raise the logging speed vs V2.

Map flashing is quicker, up to 6 live data monitors on screen plus a shift light.

And yes, there is now a on/off button. Overall its a bigger screen and cleaner design. If you like to log, this is definitely for you. If you want to flash and forget, the V2 will still be supported.

Hope that helps

How much faster is map switching process on V3?
On the fly will be a big project for sure, so definitely no ETA on that.

I'll see if I can get benchmarks from the testers tomorrow (they do that sort of thing), but flashing is an obviously faster experience, as is boot time, and pretty much anything else.
We've spent a lot o time getting the V3 to be as perfect as possible. I leave mine in the car and power it up every time I go anywhere. It stores your monitor settings for each option (1-6 gauges), so when it starts it automatically jumps to the live data and I have 6 gauges in real-time. Pretty rad.

Yessir. Here's a look at everything that's included:
http://www.cobbtuning.com/Subaru-Acc...p3-sub-003.htm

Of course that's a link to a Subaru AP, but the contents will be the same.

Nice, can we pre-order for N54 AP? What's the shipping fee for new and the returned V2 AP for Australian users?

Nice one! I'm happy to stick with stock PPK tune for DD and have the PTF tune ready for when the A45 AMG's start becoming more abundant
