seat belt holder available for the 1 series???

i've seen it before, probably for a 3 series. it looks like a clip that stays on the area b/t the head rest and top corner of the seat. looks like a nice item to have since our seat belts are a mile behind our shoulder.

Great question. I'd also like to know if anyone makes a clip that goes down by the waist belt. My Audi had one and it held the waist belt lightly against my lap so as not to wrinkly my shirts. In the event of an accident it would still pull tight, it's difficult to explain...

Part# 52 30 0 302 425 fits E46 and E90. It also used to show up as an accessory for the 1 series at BMW Deutschland but no longer does. :iono:

Edit: It is still there, sorry.

Are you confirming that it can be ordered, installed and works?

Just ordered it 5 min ago. That is awesome and solves my one complaint about the 1er. I always hate having to crane so far around to grab the belt. In my e30 the belt rests neatly beside the seat on the seat-fold lever within easy grasp.

Thanks for posting this....Will advise this weekend about fit and use after I install. Seriously....Thank you!!!!!!

How did this work out? I get really annoyed by my passenger side seat belt always slapping against the side of the seat. It hits the black plastic part...pretty noisy. This may be a solution.

It fits. I tried it on my car to make the belt easier to reach. Sadly it does not allow the belt to retract smoothly, allows the belt to twist and is more of a pain than it is worth.

I got the part about 10+ days ago. Installed it on the driver's side. Fit and finish is fine, installs easily on the 1er. However, functionality, can't say I am overly impressed.

1. The belt seems to bind /fold when being pulled through this new holder.
2. It is not as functional as I had thought, does not move the belt that much closer, still somewhat of a stretch to reach it.
3. It has popped loose on two occasions.

In short, I am planning on returning it to the dealership and hope to get my money back. Perhaps on the 3er it may be more effective where the B pillar sits further back from the driver's seat, or for a short driver whose seat is further up. However, at 6 feet tall, it was not as helpful as I had hoped.

Has anyone found a way to adjust the seat belt so it doesn't cut into your neck? Almost every BMW I have owned lacks an adjustment.

I know. It's an extremely STUPID oversight on BMW's part.
A $40k+ (at least for my 135i) car with a dysfunctional seatbelt.
OH, but we've got an "oh shit" handle right over the drivers head!?
Why?
Spend the money on an adjustable seatbelt BMW!
You know, something we can actually use and need!

There are a number of little oversights in the 1 series in terms of ergo's.
The lower price of the 1 series isnt' low enough for these glaring issues imo.
But, OH what a FUN car to drive!
DAMN YOU BMW!
