How To's Sticky?
I may be missing something; but instead of "subscribing" to all of these how-to articles, can we just have sticky? I thought about this when I saw the mirror upgrade (with homelink), but this would be helpful to have. There would probably be some maintenance in keeping up with the list, but I can be a mod on that sticky (if nobody else wants to do it). I plan on being here for a loooong time .
Unless we already have this in place? I may be missing something...but it would be nice to have a 1M specific how-to sticky. |

I don't see the point of this. There are How-to stickys in the DIY forum. Why do we need to start 1M specific forums for Commercial Sales and DIY's? Do you think nothing from the rest of the 1-series applies to the 1M? The next step will be the "Why do 1M owners think they are better than other 1-series owners?" thread.

Also: i don't think people should take offense to a sticky being created at all; that approach is a little over-sensitive don't ya think? i would never take be offended if there was a 1-series specific how-to section and then they pasted 1M applicable items i that sticky. (think of how many "can i do this on a 1M" or "does this apply to a 128" questions this would solve). i think a lot of 1M owners would find this very useful! |

(I get that from 135 owners all the time, trust me, you learn to shrug it off) Why wouldn't there be a dedicated 1M owner with shared sponsors. (ie a sponsor when becoming a commercial sponsor gets that privilege on 1addcts and whatever you would call the 1M forum) It's not that hard to do. But most of you 1M owners need to realize that almost every DIY that you can think of on a 1M has been done on a 135 so just check out the stickies In the DIY section maybe? |

Some really fantastic logic. Yes, the 128/135 have different side markers than the 1M, and the only different engine "how-to's" involve flashes and piggybacks. My FMIC, midpipes and intake went on just like on the 135, and, no, they don't apply to the 128.
Honestly, I don't even know how to respond to threads like this anymore...

I don't understand the point you are making and it's relevance to what I wrote.

By giving the 1M owners their own forum to deal with all of this on their own so that they don't clog my new posts box with questions that were answered in 2008

That isn't fair. I don't want to deal with them either.

i had no clue what i was starting here. i'm sorry.
i'm not very emotional. so some of these comments confuse me. 135 is a great car. 128 is a great car. 1M great car. ford pinto...eh...burned many of it's drivers (read: victims), so maybe...nnnooooot such a great car. so what's the problem here? can we list the pro's/con's and remove the emotion from this thread for a moment. (btw: i'm sorry that 135/1M owners think they're better than you, but that really has nothing to do with my originally post). |

There is DIY section already and some 1M DIY there as well
We do not need to have a special section for everything....but I do hear your pain. This is a community for all to share and learn, not a section for every single car and model year. Everyone play nice!
