Hi Tom..My name is Ryan and I'm awaiting delivery of my 1er and I'm also an addict I think we def need a support group. There are definitely a lot of us waiting. How could they be sitting there allll week. I hope they get on the ship tomorrow.

My 128i moved this morning from Production to Awaiting Transport. Having read through countless blogs for the past 3 hours I think the general consensus is that once a vehicle goes to 'Awaiting Transport' it will be in the region of 24 days before you will be driving it away from the Dealership if you live in or around the Washington DC area.

Here's what the 800 number is providing, maybe this will help some ppl see progress.


Vehicle is in production with the est build date of ----. 03/16
Vehicle is finished build and is release to transport to carrier. 03/26
Vehicle is waiting to be transported to the port of exit. 03/27
Vehicle is being transported to the port of exit. 03/31

So, it looks like, it's going to get on the Mignon for 04/02 departure.
Mignon's ETA to N.Y. is 04/17.

Ordered: 3/5/09, dealer had a production slot available
Entered production: 3/13/09, VIN assigned
Finished production: 3/24/09
Loaded on ship: 3/28/09, Don Pasquale
Due in NY: 4/11/09

I ordered mine on 3/7 and its been sitting at the port since at least last saturday (3/21). How long could it possibly take to get on the ship! lol I'm hoping it gets on the ship that leaves today. Does anyone know if I'm in Chicago, where the car will be unloaded at?

I'm sure the dealer can tell you for sure. But I would bet on South Carolina since that is were mine is to be offloaded for Columbus Ohio, according to the dealer.

OK thats what I thought. My CA said he thinks "somewhere near South Carolina." Lol so I just wanted to make sure.

I hope ur 1 will get on today's ship...I feel ur pain.
In the mean time did you call the 800 number or tried plugging your vin to see if it was booked to any ship?

Plug in ur vin here to see if there is any info on ur cargo.

I've been burning up the 800 number. I call it first thing in the morning, when I go on lunch and a couple times before I leave work. But its been saying "awaiting a shipping vessell" since 3/21. I have to call my CA and get my VIN so I can plug it in to see if there is any cargo info.

If can get the port of entry from the CA, it would help to find out which ship it might sail on.

I just emailed my CA for my VIN. He said that production has been slowed at BMW and they are probably waiting for the ship to fill up before the send it out. But other 1er's are leaving lol. I am just crossing my fingers that it gets on the one today. But so far, its still "awaiting a shipping vessell" according to the 800 number.

Yea..same here, I would think the shipping company should have somethign in the system showing what is to be loaded onto the vessel.

Did you by chance find out what the port of entry is?

For my car, the website still says no record found even though the BMWNA 800 number says I am in transit and my CA confirmed I am on the Don Pasquale which left Bemmerhoven on 3/28. I looks like the cargo tracking is not up to date.

Yeah, I think I'm going to stick to the 800 number. That seems to be the most reliable for everyone.

Then likely u'll be on the ship leaving today. i would wait till tomorrow and call again, you might get that new info. Good luck, I hope it does get on that ship. This waiting stuff really sucks.

I do feel that it will be all worth it once you get to sit in a car that was customed to your liking.

Yeah I hope it gets on todays ship cause its been sitting at the port since the 21st lol. When do the ships normally leave the port of exit? When my CA said 6-8 weeks for an order, I was like "oh thats not bad, it will give me time to save up some extra money to put down." Man was I wrong, 6-8 weeks IS that bad

My problem is that while waiting i've been doing some shopping for the car to kill some time....and the longer the car takes the the broker I get...

Bought the following things:

Matte badges
Rubber matts
Euro switch
tow hook plate holder
Miesterchaft GT exhaust w/ mid pipes
Smoked side marker
Wheel wax kit
Numerous of cleaning products.
And I'm not done..........

Wow..now that i listed it all... wtf have i've been doing.

Yeah, I've been doing the same, just havn't bought anything yet. I think I'm gonna do the Miesterschaft GT exhaust too, it sounds bad ass. I also really like the GP 8500 bulbs in this thread, http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=226159
