Not a big one. Tires are generally more expensive, as the shorter sidewalls require more complex multi-piece molds. Also the slip-angle will go down, meaning the car will generally break away slightly more abruptly, though the type of tire is probably the bigger variable there, and the tradeoff is improved response and precision. Otherwise just run the wheels with the best tire option.

Found out that Trofeo Rs come in the stock 18" sizes. Will likely try these out once I burn through the Yokohamas ... thanks again for guidance.
