The officer is here right now, hes finger printing my room. I told him bout my x, he agreed that it was suspicious that its just my room. He also said thank god u broke it off with him. They got his info but wont do anything else they have proof.

Ok the officer left. Basically he said that he has no proof, but he also told me to just keep an eye out. And protect myself. He got his background info, but said he wont contact him unless there is a reason. But i think my x got arrested when he was 21 for a DUI, so...who knows

He didnt come up with any finger prints cause the things that were thrown on the floor were clothes, and random items. I asked the officer if there is no way to prove it was him, whats gonna make him not do it again? He said well atleast there is a backrgoudn check on him..etc.

But i SO want to teach him a lesson, or atleast have the cops scare the shit outta him, but we cant..

Can't say how much I am disturbed by this event. You need to be watching your back and surrounding.

I am not scaring you but this type of person seems to be violent and he will escalate this to physical violence.

Carry somekind of weapon with you.

Invest into surveillance system to video tape his action in case he comes back into the house.

Quickly sign up for self-defense class. A quick learn of few deadly moves can be handy.

I honestly think hes too chicken shit to try and hurt me physically. But i also never thought, he'd break into my house and steal from me. I just feel super betrayed, because of everything ive done for him. I was a great f-ing girlfriend. He told me i was the only person he "let" in , and yet, he could stab me in the back like this. He also caused a problem within my family, he told my sis in law a bunch of lies about me, and now she is super angry also. I dont have proof of him doing it either, but she sees him often enough and he wants revenge for what he thinks i did, which was NOTHING.

1. Don't deal with him personally and don't give him any attention. What he did was a cry for attention as much as anything. Don't reward that - even with negative attention.
2. File a report, tell the police everything.
3. If there is another incident, however small - find some large Italian friends to pay him a visit.

I'm fairly sure that not many of the women who are victimized and assaulted really "thought he would do that". I don't mean any offense by this - but you're in your early twenties and your generation thrives on melodrama. Don't play it that way. He broke into your house - which is a very violating thing. It also indicates that he is willing to risk breaking the law.

I'm not trying to be a downer, but I'd sure hate to see it get worse for you. Have a safe and Merry Christmas, and nip this problem in the bud!
