Original BMW daytime LED light for retrofit
Guys, have you seen these led lights before?
Just saw it demoed at my local dealer. the light is so strong that a message had to be printed on the top of the demo set advising not to look directly when the devise is lit. here's a picture of it.

Hmmm...I will have to see it in person and installed to make judgment. I wonder how much, or if they block airflow to the oil cooler?

These are original BMW, they are made exclusively for the 135 and they come with a complete installation kit that the dealer is offering "installed" for 300$.
I'm not a 135 owner so I don't know if they block air ducts but I guess they shouldn't. BMW won't risk blocking or disturbing it's very own design! From the picture of the car you guys can tell if it's placed in a non obstructive part of the bumper, can't you?

LED DRL's are the way a lot of cars are going. They only partially do them for looks. Its mostly so the other jackasses on the road can notice you sooner. Thats the point of DRL's, so OTHER motorists see you sooner.

looks like its the same as the philips units linked to above
look cool, doubt they'd block that much airflow been thinking to get these for a while How complex is installation & where does it wire into? FYI: It's a bit expensive. $349.. ebay url Last edited by fatjoez; 02-05-2011 at 07:12 AM.. |

this is why BMW only gets to do free maintenance for the most part. Expensive bastards. They quoted me 8-9 hours of labor for installing the performance suspension. I did it in ~3-4 hours then just went and got the car aligned a week later.
