One of my headlight projectors seems to be foggy or cloudy or something it seems to work fine but you can see that it looks like it's on the inside of the projector only on one side? What would cause this and can it be cleaned up? Thanks in advance!

Found this and this is exactly my issue but I can't find anything about this for the e82 http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=808560

If you are a handy man i would suggest taking the front bumper off and removing the headlight and make sure your cap on the back is very secure. If not, then order a new one.

Otherwise just reach around and make sure the cap is secure.

oh wow. That's pretty bad!!!
I would definitely take the headlight off the car. Then, remove the cap and then the bulb. Then take a stick with some microfiber towel at the end and stick it into the projector hole where the bulb was and try and rub it clean. Do not use windex! Report back here after.

Looks like the HID bulb got smoky. Have you done anything with the headlights? When did this happen?

Well it did not happen when I owned these headlights I bought these euro headlights and discovered this then I looked it up and on that link I posted above was the only similar issue but it was on a e90 and they said its caused by using poor quality bulbs when they go bad they do that??

Yes. It's too bad this happened. Hopefully it didn't affect the projector bowl.
