Greetings ... new to this forum

Hi.

You might notice I drive a VW GTI. So why am I here? Well, my girlfriend just picked up a pre-owned 2013 128i. It is her second BMW ... the first being a 2008 328xi.

The car is awesome, and we are poking around the interwebs looking for ideas, tips, tricks, and advice. So far, so good ... and 1addicts seems to have a lot of useful information, some of which we have already taken advantage of.

Anyway, I'll be seeing you around the forums, and maybe hit a local meet or two.

Welcome to you and GF. You both have great cars. Note GF had an xi and now RWD. NOW is the time to buy a 2nd set of wheels with good snow tires.

Oh heck yeah. We put snow tires on all our cars, AWD or not. The plan is to use the OEM rims for the snow tires, and get new wheels for the summer.

I normally use Pirelli Winter Sottozero but next winter I want to try studded Hakka 8's. They should make trips to Vermont a bit easier.
