Just installed Stage 1 Aggressive map on my otherwise stock N54.... Very happy and no problems whatsoever. Thanks, cobb!

Rowdy,

I know the feeling. I have had Cobb on one of my Subarus, and really liked it. I also remember that it took Cobb about a year to come out with an AP that worked on the CANBUS that came out on the 07+ Subarus, and they got a lot of flak because they would give an anticipated availability date, miss it, give another, miss...you get the picture. I imagine it will take them some time to get to it, though the N55 has been on the market in one platform or another for over two years. <sigh>

I have a little time before getting into tuning the new car, so I will just wait to see what happens.

True story. I know a couple guys that have had tunes done at PRS and IIRC their mustang dyno baselines more like an optimistic dynojet.

Depends who you go with and whether done remotely with logs, or with tuner on a dyno or at a track. Anywhere from as low as $200 to $500 and more.

Ok great. The AP i guess is the most expensive piece of the puzzle.I dont know tuning from a ham sandwich but i can certainly guess that a custom tune would for your actual car would do wonders.

is it possible to custom tune a JB4?

COBB themselves charge between $400 - $700 dollars I believe...

Every tuner is different, though. The key is to finding the right tuner, who knows these motors, and can tune it properly. If you want, COBB can actually get you in touch with a recommended pro-tuner in your area or close to you. Me personally, I would probably just have COBB do some remote tuning for me instead. I use to be a BETA tuner for them on a previous car and after a few dyno runs and a couple emails they dialed it in perfectly from the case mapping. Just my .02...

PS- If you wanted to learn, spend a shitload of time researching, and save the money, you can download the free AccessTUNER RACE software from them and tune the car yourself

For those using the e85 tune what mix is the best with 91 octane? I'm going to try it out today.

Not be afraid to go a little bit E85 heavy. Its an E30 map, so 4.5 gal/tank or so E85 should be a good starting point.

I just started using the E30 map and mixed ACN91(shell v power) with 4.5 gallons E85. Works flawless thus far. Pulled 3 datalogs WOT so far and everything seems fine to me. I'm a noob though so if one of you vets could kindly look over my run it would make my day.
