I'm keen but price matters. If its within 10k of a 1M new I'd consider it.

The real question is are you buying two this time?

alpine would say $120k but i reckon around $130k mark cos' there's not many at that price point from Porsche, AMG nor Audi that would come close to a good M2..... spoken as a bimmer man. BMW would be silly to offer another basement price M as they did with 1M.

Tbh, no, but who cares, they are just a volume seller this time round. No rush really.

I agree. Any chance it would be a limited run? at disclosure, those who aren't already on a wait list may lose out?!

Agree also. If I can't grab one, I will just wait 6 months and grab a used one.
Just like the 1M, there will be always be some stock on the used car market.

Would be a great DD in DCT.

Want to get excited about it but if the wheel arches aren't any more aggressive than in the video then I can't see trading in the 1M . . .

I personally wouldn't trade in a 1M, the dealers will only take the piss.

I think it's just the disguise that makes it look less aggressive. The wheel arches on the M3 is already massively flared, so you can imagine what it would be like on the narrower 2 series body. Well, assuming that the same formula applies, that is, a transplant of the complete rear end from the M3 to the M2.

M2 will be worth the wait IMO , as it should be the best of the 1M and M4.

So it's pretty good. I was surprised how quick they have made the car through the gears. It's awesome. But I bought this for the missus, so didn't spec CCB which I think is a good option to get. But she doesn't want it and will keep her 2013 5 series instead.

Btw M2 production for RHD starts Nov 2015. Not sure if Australia will be at the top of the queue but I suspect we would be.
