Is an XI the same ride height as an I without the sport suspension?

Or does the XI ride even higher?

The xi rides 5mm ( 0.2 inches) higher than the non-SP i.

Is that even a noticable difference? I am considering the 162's on the XI, but an concerned that they will look awful at that ride height.

They are going to look very different from the SP version of the 330i because the total difference between the xi and the i with SP is about 0.8" which is noticable esp at the wheels.

If you want to put 162's on the car (which are staggered and will not work well at all in the snow at all), why did you get a xi????

The plan would be to switch to 17's for the winter with winter tires, but now I'm considering not going with 162's at all.

Check out Jspira's SG 330xi w/162's. He has pics posted in the Pic forum. I think it looks good.

The 162's on the xi will look great and they'll work fine too. Just make sure you get all season tires if you plan on driving in the snow. Check out some of the posts on here there are plenty of pictures of xi's sporting the 162s and they look great.
