I am curious to how well it blends in with the rest of the paint. Assuming that you have pics of the touch up kit, you have used it already. How is it? Do you highly recommend it?

I had to buy some of that a few weeks ago to fix a couple of stone chips. I found the clear top coat a bit of a bugger to apply thinly as it is a bit viscous and tends to form a droplet.
The Sedona Red color match was pretty good.

Don't use the brush that comes with it. Use a paint brush, get one from art shop for $5-8.
The metallic colour is a pain to apply. Be sure to fill the stone chip with solid colour first. Leave it lots of time and reclean it for the final layer of silver. Shake it well and apply to it. When the silver is on top, it is much easier to blend to the rest of the paint. If it is near half of a 5c piece, forget it. Get someone to paint it. This is from my first hand experience from fixing a chip 15mmx2mm successfully but not a scratch 50mmx5mm. I got a mobile person to come and do (it is on the mirror)... it is perfect and cannot tell.

That helps as well, depends what it is like in the bottle. Some older bottle will be thicker of course.
Whatever you do, flat black coat and clear coat leave it a day to do, not 2 hours that most of these bottle suggested.

3 things with that stuff...
First, when you use it, shake it well, and keep shaking well past when you think it is blended. If it's not shaken very well, the color and metallic match is off. Second, do not let it get too cold. It separates and you cannot use it, no matter how much you shake it. Third, don't bother using the nail polish brush on the inside of the cap. I have had far better luck with small artists brushes, and even a toothpick. |

To Larry's comments I'd also suggest that these touch-up paints probably don't have much of a shelf life. I suspect the metallic flake and pigment would settle out and tend to lock into the bottom of the can if you store it for a long time. So my suggestion would be to buy it when you need to use it, rather than buy a can and leave it sit in the garage for several years.
