I looked into this and they only cover tire & rim warranty with the winter package purchased thru the dealer. outside fitments are not covered. I also agree with expressoboy. the research is accurate. even across other types of vehicles.

You will not get a warning message because you do not have TPMS valves in your wheels. But, everytime you change wheels you need to reset your TPW which can be done on the configuration on your turn signal stalk.
As for not having staggers, it shouldn't matter. I have purchased but not yet installed 225/40/18's for the winters.

Just ordered Sport Edition A7 17X7.5 with Blizzak WS-60 215/45 from Gill. I asked about the group buy that someone had mentioned early but it ofcourse was a no-go. Total was $1445US.
Regarding BWM's coverage of wheels and tires etc (which I'm leaning towards not getting after people responded to my thread a few days ago). I ordered my car last week and it was explained like this to me... 1. Will cover any wheel and tire on the car whether runflat or not, aftermarket, etc. 2. Catch with not using runflats: If you spring a leak, they will not cover a tow truck as you are expected to be able to make it to a shop had you bought a runflat. 3. Some catch about if you hit a pot hole and there is damage but the wheel's seal is not broken then it is not covered - the seal must be broken. |
