Wheel / Tire Warranty

Anyone know of any good 3rd party wheel / tire warranties? Dealer wants almost 1300 Dollars for a 5 year wheel / tire warranty with unlimited $ value of claim. I don't want to pay 1300 for this....but would like some coverage because i know these run craps are prone to bubbles.

You need to make sure bubbles are covered no matter where you get the warranty. I think many of the warranty's out there (they are not all the same) cover road hazards only and not things like vandalism, defects, etc. Some may consider a bubble to be a defect or sidewall damage and may not cover it.

You can probably negotiate the dealer price down considerably from $1,300

Why don't you just replace the tires on your own if a bubble occurs? You would have to have 3+ bubbles for even an $800 policy to make sense. Odds are you'll be fine.

FYI,

I learned the hard way with the BMW tire/wheel warranty. They will NOT replace a bent rim if the tire does not pop..shred..etc..

my wife hit a bad pothole in her 05 330i. It bent the rim to where it made a sound going at 25mph or slower. So we took it in. Since the tire was able to hold air, they denied the claim and pointed to the "fine print".

So just a heads up.
