09 iDrive in NZ

Hey all I went and checked out my car yesterday as the dealership just got it and it has the 09 iDrive. Interesting that I would get it but Aussie apparently wasn't getting it until later this year?
The dealership was telling me that they didn't know until it came in.

Apparently I've got the very first car in the whole of NZ with it, not to mention the 1st Space Grey 135 in the country too.

They are just fitting up the BMW Performance CF bits and pieces on it and it should be ready today or tomorrow for pickup hopefully

Congrats Mate! Be sure to take some pics when take delivery and post some pics of the idrive as well!

would love to see some pics. I have a space grey sitting on the Taipan and due for pick up on 30th November

our dealer is saying the same thing... it will have 08 iDrive

yet all the current deliveries seem to have the '09

Well apparently BMW are having a few issues fitting the spoiler? They are worried removing the old one will damage the car somehow, so I had to forward them the DIY video from here to help them out

Should have the car by the end of the week and will definitely post pics when I get it!

cam I believe all the idrives arriving in Australia are the new 09 type. My dealer has already delivered two cars in the past week with the 09 idrive even though they were told they would have the 08 model.

Hey cam..which dealer u got ur 1er from?? I got given the same pick update 30/11...

my dealer told me the same thing "08 iDrive for my car". arrr come on ... 19days to go!!!

Trivett at Parramatta... gave us the best deal...

We did not do a special order just selected on that was on the boat so to speak.

We did not want to wait 3-4 months. We were lucky in terms of available colour and options as they had what we were looking for. Only thing we took over what we would have ordered were the anti dazzle mirrors (mind you we have those on the 130i we traded)

Hey DCD. Congrats on finally getting your car! With the correct transmission this time I assume...

I'm sure you will love it. Look forward to seeing some pics. Find some nice NZ scenery to photograph it next to

Rangitoto in the background for instance...

Yes the transmission is correct! Finally!

Ahhhh now that I know it's here and so close it's hard to do anything except stare at my phone waiting for the call.... They told me it would be ready by Friday but as of yesterday at 2pm all thay had to do was install the spoiler and clean it up so I can't help hoping it'll be ready soon...

It's going in on Saturday to get tints and an installed radar detector as well.

Yeah I'll have to go and try and find some nice scenic spots to snap some photos. Theres a nice spot up on bastion point where I would like to get some photos, with the Auckland harbor in the background.
