Yesterday,I exchanged Xenon bulb & Ring bulb.

I've been going to his site for a while, and he lives in Japan. He did it at a shop.

You can do it several ways.

1. change the square glass lenses in front of th H10W reflectors. Make sure you get a heat resistance glass plated with blue color. (Trial and error yourself on the Temp Color)

2. buy a new bulb/reflector kit part number 63117161444, cut out the bulb base. (The bulb base is fixed to the reflector by means of welding or similar) Change the bulb to Philips Utra bright 10W. One thing, the bulb base is a kind of offset though. Stick it back by Devcon industrial glue (heat resistance).

I checked with the shop in Japan today, he asked for USD195 shipped to Thailand. It is not too expensive if he is selling a pair of bulbs/reflectors.

Anyway, I just bought from BMW dealer today a pair of bulbs/reflectors. They cost me only USD76, but I have to do the rest myself.

Umm, what color do you want? Purple, pink, blue !!!!

yeah, the alpine white with the 6k light and clear corners and white rings is SWEET! I don't know if the same effect can be achieved with the orange reflectors that we have here in the US. Nice job, and I'm glad that you didn't go over 6k on the lights.

By Japanese specification, when the small light is on, this portion is not turned on.
Only an angel eye lights up.

Upgrading 4300K D1S to 6000K D1S does not yield any warning singnal but the Foglights.

I changed OEM H11 foglights to HID 8000k, the Xenon relay kit is needed in order to eliminate the bulb failure signal though.

The brex white ring and the D1S 6000K bubls are already plug and play. I just installed a set on my friend's car last week.

You can purchase D1S 6000K bulbs on ebay, and hopefull some people will start selling the brex white ring on ebay shipped from japan.
