What offsets

Hi what offset would be needet to run the widest tire possible. Im dropped on kw v3's and i am currently running a 225 front 255 rear and its just not enough. What wheel offsets will i need to bump up to a 245 front and 265 or 275 rear. My fenders are already pulled and rolled.

Up front you will need camber plates to fit 245's. I would go with the Apex Arc8 offsets. They should be able to fit 245's with camber plates up front and some 275's will fit. You just need to see how thick the sidewalls of the tires are since each manufacturer is different. So ET62 rear and ET45 front.

Some 255's will fit. But you may have to go even more on the - camber.

You can get the ER front wide body and try to do 285 square.

Sorry we don't carry Apex's. I can have Forgestar's made for you in any offset you wish at a great price but they take 5-6 weeks.

I thought those running 245's etc up front were using more like 3deg of camber with offsets around 35-40. I'd go 18x8.5et40fr and 18x9.5et55 rear.

Camber plates are a must to fit a 245 tire. To fit a 245/35/18 you would need negative camber set to approximately -2 degrees. A thin 3-5mm spacer may be needed to clear the strut tube depending on the tire. If you want to go with a 255/35/18 trimming of the bumper to fender tab would be needed as well as more negative camber. If the spring and spring perch do not stay above the tire, then it is not possible to fit a 255 tire on the 1 series. If the spring and perch are so long that they sit next to the tire, a huge spacer would be needed to clear which would result in the wheel/tire sticking out of the fender even with maximum negative camber dialed in. This is a likely problem area since you are using KW V3's that utilize a progressive cone shaped spring. To fit the most wheel/tire on the front of your car we would highly recommend switching to 6" linear springs on the KW V3's. Keep in mind all of this is with using our 1 series specific 18x8.5" ET45 front wheels.

A 265/35/18 is a direct fit tire size with our 18x9.5" ET62 ARC-8 or 18x9.5" ET58 EC-7. If you were planning on running 275/35/18 rear extreme performance or r compound tires with our 18x9.5" ET62 then the tire will likely contact the rear sub frame. This sub frame rub is only when the suspension is drooping (lifted in the air for service). The tires do not touch the sub frame when driving, but because there is contact, we do not recommend 275 tires usually. This process is not ideal and is a sacrifice to make a 275/35/18 work in the rear but you can install the wheels onto the hub and snug the wheels down as much as possible, then torque the lugs once on the ground. The ideal setup for no issues is 265/35/18.

This photo illustrates the front camber that is needed to fit very wide front tires (for an E82) and the rear fender clearance with a 275/35/18 tire. In addition the tires in this photo are Dunlop star spec's that run on the wider and beefier end of the tire spectrum.

I run 245/35/18F 275/35/18R on apex ARC-8's with GC camber plates and -2.3 camber it fits but there are little rub marks on areas up front just barely rubbing not enough to make me feel like its anywhere on the unsafe side, same with the rear I rub under hard cornering, The setup is amazing for grip see sig for rest of mods, currently looking into GC's street coilover setup.

ARC8s are a great wheel for the track.

We are an authorized APEX dealer, please PM/email me directly if you would like to purchase a set.

Without body panel mods you can do:

255/35-18 up front. 18x8.5+45 (Apex), no spacer, max camber on vorshlag. Cannot fit with coilover shocks that are wider than spot where it goes into the wheel carrier.

With the M3 wishbones up front, you're going to be lucky if you can get 245/35-18's up front. You still want the same wheel + offsets. 255 will not fit with the m3 wishbones.

285/30-18's are the widest size that fit in the rear. 18x9.5+62 works and a few other sizes in the 18x10 or 18x10.5 range.

I currently run 255/285 with m3 bits, but had to switch to ER's widebody kit to fit the fronts. It would now be easier to go wider, but i dealt with understeer by having more camber up front. I run -3.5 deg front and -1.5 deg rear. It's a tricky setup, but allows you to easily get the back out with throttle control.

So with that said, should I put my stock control arms back on and do vorschlag camber plates to run 255s up front with -3.5* of camber? Right now I have the M3 control arm kit on with Apex Arc8s 1 series offsets +45 and +62 but only a 235 up front. I have Dinan camber plates but want more camber. I have a spacer on up front to avoid rubbing my shock. I already rub a bit with this setup. I run dunlop direzza star specs like the picture shown (which is Larryn's 135i he used to have) I did my coilovers at his house there! Anyway, any info would really help. I really wanna dial out this understeer these cars have
