Long Island 1ers?

Been seeing more and more (2) other 1ers around LI.:roundel:
One is a nice 135 coupe near my home in Salisbury.
Other was a black 128 coupe at Eisenhower other day; Btw, dude dont park under the trees, learned my lesson last week. Thats why I didnt park next to you!
Nice to hear from ne other new 1er owners around.

Brightwaters area here. Finally picked up my 1er today. She is only the third one I have seen (a TiAg 128 vert, a AW 135i and, of course, mine!!!!)

awesome guys, im from LI also, and ive only seen 2 1er's around- one was montego blue, and the other 1 was a grey vert....

i parked right next to the montego blue 1 at the deli

I have seen one 128i vert, but that's it. Although I did see one black 135i and one tan 128i on test drives from Hassel BMW.

I have seen six in total (not counting mine). One in MA. The two above. A black 135 on the LIE about a month ago, a white 128 vert on the Southern State and a white 135 vert on Windsor Ave in Brightwaters last Saturday.

Have you ever brought your 1er to OBI sunday mornings? If not we should get a group of us 1's to start showing our faces there! Not only that it is awesome just watching the huge group of cars pulling in/out and you get to see all sorts of great cars there from American muscle to Ferrari Enzo's.

I did it once at the end of the summer. I will do it again come Spring time. We should definitely get together.

That might have been me.
I roll a black on red 135 from smithtown to deer park via the LIE every mon-thurs around 7:45am (to deer park) and 4:45pm (to smithtown).

I also take the expressway to get pretty much anywhere on LI that's not local. I don't like the southern/northern state or the sag =P
Or sunrise.
Basically I only use the LIE.

Ive been dying to get out to Bald Hill with this car.
I'm game for any meets you guys wanna do as long as I'm free.

It would be pretty hot if like 5 or 6 of us all rolled up on one place like bald hill at the same time.

I will be meeting/talking with some staff at The Arches in Deer Park sometime this winter, to see if we can get a small portion of a parking lot once a week. Going to try and see if a weeknight will be allowed as the traffic level is kept to a minimum. Maybe start meeting up once it warms up. I'm sure I can get approval providing everyone follows the law. :smile: There are also a few decent places in The Arches to eat at. Or within a stones throw from there.

I work about 2 seconds from the Arches, on Grand Boulevard.
If you go down to DPA there's a ton of fast food places.
Panera Bread FTW. Then there's the Ruby Tuesdays on the corner of Grand and Commack Road.

Or if you wanna go full classy we can all pull up to Taj Tandoori.
It's a Thai place on DPA that's really nice and reasonably priced, as Thai restaurants go.

I was at the arches for the first time last weekend. It's pretty nice in there. The IMAX theater is nice.
It would be ballin if we could get permission to pull our cars into the courtyard area where they have that iceskating rink.

To the dude in the SGM 128 vert that was pulled over by the cops at the corner of Union and Windsor in Brightwaters I feel your pain. I love it when I see another 1er on the road but that is not the way I want to see one. Very sorry!

Ohh that black 135i. Thats the one I test drove. Picked up my Sparkling Graphite 135i Convertible in august and I never put the top up. So if you see a guy in a 135i Convertible freezing his as off for no real reason on a 25 degree day...its me...

Ordered my AW 128 w/sport/6spd/premium sound/IPOD mid January. Currently sitting at the port in Bremerhaven. The waiting is killing me and I can't wait to join the rest of you.

I was told by my CA that the car should be in at the end of February, but I'm thinking middle of March. Just in time for Spring fever.
