I'm very happy with my active autowerke bov but the new hpf chargpipe/bov looks pretty promising and I'm even thinking about getting it to pair it with my HPF FMIC.

this, but most of the hks on ebay is counterfeit. buy the bov from fred as well because they are authorized retailers.

$60 for an HKS SSQV BOV? lol not even in your dreams.. definitely some made in china crap.

On another note, I have Stett's charge pipe w/ tial's bov. If you let off partial throttle the correct way, you can even get it to flutter . It's orgasmic.

If your trying to be heard, get the HKS. It's super loud.

I promise if I got a video of partial throttle flutters from the Tial Q, you'd be sold instantly lol

throttle flutter is not something to be proud of. of everything i heard. its sign of a loose valve..

Actually it is compressor surge and is very damaging to the turbos.

+ 1

I'm holding out for the HPF charge pipe as well but I think they will be using with the Synapse BOV. Great design, I can't wait.

Do the evolution racewerks charge pipe. They carry the tial, synapse, and his blow off valves. Which one depends on the sound, but the tial is larger and will support more HP if you plan on doing a lot of modding. Fred is a great guy and will take care of you. BTW I ordered the complete evolution setup for myself.

3 days huh... Well, it has been on 2 weeks now without any problems. Have any of you actually even seen one, much less actually installed one. I have a friend who paid 200 for his from auth. dealer..I bought the one on ebay and let him look at it. Identical and works exactly the same. Plus, you guys act like all of them are the same on ebay. If you have had actual experience with a bad HKS blow off valve bought off ebay then share your experience. other wise

I have the HKS SSQV.
I bought mine almost a year ago now and works very well.
I didn't buy from Ebay, however.

I also paid $250+ for it.

I also have ER w/HKS SSQV3. It's amazing. No surge...Sounds great...fits well.

LOL@guy bragging about his orgasmic compressor surge. FTW?

There is supposed to be ways of telling if the ssqv3 is a knockoff...something about the hologram HKS logo? Maybe that wouldn't be hard to duplicate either.

I had one on my Evo and I like it a lot. If I move away from the stock diverter I will prolly go with Tial.

The type S sounds amazing as well, but I havent heard it on an N54 yet. I saw a weak video of a 335i with one, but the video quality was horrible.

Cheers man. I'm not sure if i should hold out for the HPF charge pipe or jump on the ER. They both look really good but HPF looks a lot more stealth...
