One of the guys here painted his roof glossy black. It looks pretty good. I think Oli (spector88) said it only cost him 300 euros. Here are some pics of his roof/car from that BMW car show in Wuerzburg back in May.
Btw... I also like the way the fake carbon fiber looks too. it is made by 3m called: DiNoc. The price is about the same over here for vinyl vs paint. |

Always did like his Sedona Red. Good stuff
Most ppl in North America go with vinyl. You can always return it to it's original colour |

Im not in Italy anymore, Im in New Mexico now. :-/ i forgot to update my location. But anyway I think I am gonna go with painting it. The gloss black looks great, no you got me thinking weather I should get the flat black or the glossy look. What do you guys think? I have the matte black grills, 135i emblem, and roundels for the BMW emblems. I also want flat black rims. and this body shop here wanted to charge me 600 to paint the roof. wtf? pretty high don't you think?

Here you go! Oli has 19's wheels.
Btw.... Oli told me the reasonw why he went with paint - was some guys over here who went with glossy vinyl have problems when the car gets dirty and you touch the roof, it scratches the finish of the vinyl. I like the 3M DiNoc look better though. |

I found some pics of a e36 hatch at thet same car show. It had the 3M DiNoc on the roof. Only that bad was the molding on the windhsield was starting to peel/bend. But the film/vinyl looked realy cool! And when you step back from the car it also looks a bit glossy.
