Subframe Connectors

Does anyone make/sell an aftermarket set for the 135i. I have a vert I would like to tighten up.

TIA

Al

Not referring to bushings. Subframe connectors are usually welded and or bolted to the frame in both directions which tend to stiffen the frame and provide additional support for verts since there is no hard roof to perform that function.

so you're looking for additional bracing??? Why didn't you say so in the first post?? tbh i've never seen anything out like that on the forums. Are you looking b/c of performance issue or just for street driving? B/c a roll bar/cage will def help accomplish what you're looking for.

Haven't seen any for the BMW's...maybe you can find a Mustang shop or vendor that would make them for you. Would probably cost $$$$.

Convertibles by nature are less stiff (torsionally) because they do not have a roof. A convertible will have some cowl shake and everything will move around as you drive over bad road surfaces.

I remember the first cabrio car I ever drove(in the 80's) and seeing the rear view mirror shake and rattle with the rough road. You could really see the windshield shake and sides of the car move. I think modern Verts have come a long way.

You can stiffen up the suspension (somewhat) but you don't want to go over board.
