Carly bluetooth multimedia aux interface
Has anyone used the Carly bluetooth multimedia aux interface for e8x??
Looks like it is a hidden install that uses the aux input without a plug in connection. Carly says: *No annoying cable connections anymore *Best possible music quality, because the transmission takes place via Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) *Even car passengers can always play their music in your car *The AUX socket keeps its function fully in our type of installation. Therefore, the use is completely preserved (just not simultaneously with using the Bluetooth signal) http://www.ivini-tech.de/en/adapter/...es-bmw/a-9003/ I sure would like to get rid of my plug in BT adapter using the aux input. Especially if it integrates with BT phone already in car.

One of my questions too.
Can phone support BT to car and Adapter? Dealing with Carly is a bitch due to language. Any bi lingual Germans on here? I want to know where it gets installed...and how long it takes. Does the BT phone in the car still work? I know the steering wheel buttons do not work with phone.

There's a pretty good thread on a sister site. I'd love to get a discussion going here as well, but for some background:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1331880 I'm definitely interested in it, I'd like a BT option that doesn't involve using up my USB port under the armrest, and I'm not afraid of 12V electronics. I'm just at a lack of free time w/ a newer baby in the house and that it's winter here and a bit cold for car hobbies at the moment. Also I want to check out the retrofit options using OE equipment, I know they exist but haven't put time into it as an alternative. |
