Lci (blacklines) HELPPPP!

I am in desperate need of some help guys, I have read many forums, pages & pages on 1 series lci taillights, I've been to my local dealer & still no further!

I own a BMW 11/2011 118d with halogen headlights & and halogen rear lights (with the fake plastic led bar) (mine is the montego blue 1'er)

What I want is the lci taillights like the picture below (black 1'er) but I need to know if it is possible on my car, and what part numbers do I need or where can I purchase from

Any help would be much appreciated! Thankyou

While you correctly linked the blackline LCI tail lights, you picked the halogen ones. Yes it's for the halogen equipped 1er's but the OP wants the LED bars to light up. Halogen LCI tail light variants doesn't let those LED bars light up.

OP, here's the correct part number: 63-21-2-225-282. You want the Xenon version of the blackline LCI tail lights. Here's the direct link:

The xenon version will allow the 2 LED bars to light up even if you have a halogen model. It's direct plug and play.

Even though your car has halogen headlights, it's my understanding that the tail lights with the working LED bars will be plug and play in your car. The LED bars in the set linked in the previous post are non-functional.

Cheers guys, think am gonna bite the bullet & go with the #282

Only issue is on Schmiedmann if you try search the #282 LCI then there nothing only the #381, however If I use the above link then it's fine. Any reason for this?

They won't work with your car unless you get some wiring done. The LCI 1ers equipped with halogens are missing the wire that usually powers the LED in the tail lights.

So they will work if I get the wiring done, is this something a mechanics would be easily able to carry out? As I am not a car whizz

I'm confused... You said you had a 2011 so I assumed you had pre-LCI lights... That's why I thought you had the 3 horizontal LED bars in your tail lights. I didn't see the headlights you posted in your first post. Are your LCI headlights and tail lights from factory?

If you have the pre-LCI tail lights before (2011s do), the xenon LCI tail lights should work. But like what viciousgook said, it wouldn't work if you had the LCI halogen tail lights from factory.
