I would just raise the front. To bottom it out like you have the front is a little too extreme for me.

Something has got to be off. I can drop mine in the back and it will tuck, but not what I was going for so I raised it up. You removed the black cup that the stock spring sit in before you installed the st spring and collar right?

Can you give some feedback on the actual ride on the ST's? I'm not into the slammed look based on practicality but I'd love to hear about the suspension performance of these KW-like coils. There seems to be little info out there...

They are very soft. If you are aggressive or want anything stiff, I'd go with the KW V2's for adjustability. My parents own a bone stock 2011 135i and both like the way my car rides better. It's less choppy and actually more forgiving than stock. This is my DD, so I love it!

The St coils def feel better than stock suspension. Spring holder was removed.
Btw guys my coilovers came from a e92 but I've seen many pics of 135s with St coils and they don't go lower than mine |

ST were a huge disappointment in both ride and height adjustability. They have cheesy construction also.
The ride they gave was soft and floaty. It may be great for some people but not for those looking for a firm/composed suspension. It also pissed me off that they slam the car to the ground up front but barely lower the rear. I had a gap over the rear tire just like the OP. |

Cut the springs?
On a serious note, I'd raise the front a little bit |

And as far as ride quality I wouldn't say they're floaty at all.. Just not as firm as some people would like for an aggressively driven vehicle. For me, as a DD, spending a lot of time on the highway I absolutely love them. Just my .02

Yeah we definitely come from different car backgrounds and have different preferences. No doubt the comfort is there with the STs, but it's achieved with low spring rates and dampening. Have someone drive your car at normal speed over a speedbump while you stand outside and watch the suspension cycle. It's super soft and sloppy. As far as build quality is concerned, its the same story. You lock the front spring collars by tightening an allen screw into the threads of the shock body, damaging the threads. Also when adjusting the ride height, there is no adjustment to the shock travel itself, only the spring. Then there's the fact that they give you a stripped down product that requires the use of stock parts to install. On top of all that, they don't allow you to lower the rear more than an inch while the front can touch the bumper to the ground. There's a few really good coilover sets available with much better performance and ride for around the same price. Again, this is just my personal preference and experience with a couple different coilovers on my car. |
