Windshield replacement in OC/LA?

Windshield got trashed yesterday, and it's way beyond fixing. Any recommendations for places to take the car to for a replacement? TIA.

Good to know, mine just got a large crack going across after a rock on the highway hit it. Working with insurance now, may swing over there.

Ended up having a mobile vendor replace it. Was $409 for an OE Sekurit glass.

Be sure to strongly request an OE windshield as a lot of insurance companies are going with aftermarket oem glasses, and will sublet work to companies like Safelite to do repairs or replacements.

My insurance would only guarantee my deductible payment if I went through Safelight (mobile division coming Thursday), but they did promise OEM glass, which was apparently "a large extra cost".

I assume I'll need to double check the parts number when they show up so that I know I have actual OEM glass, and not something else.

If it's Safelite, and you have an E82, it'll be OEM glass. You know how I know that? Because when I called Safelite, they flat out said, that they do not have a Safelite equivalent glass for the E82, and at the time, they didn't even have any OE glass available either in Southern California. So they must have found an OE glass for you.
As long as it's Sekurit or Pilkington, you're golden.
