6MT Dyno tuning

Are you all using 5th gear to dyno tune on 6MT considering its a 1.00:1 gear to get the most absolute accurate torque numbers on that dyno of choice for true increases? If you are a 6MT and not, what gear are you recording your pulls in and why? At work so spare me if this topic has been beat up already.

I think most people use 3rd gear. 4-5-6th seem a bit long with only 300-450whp.

Don't know if anyone did 5th gear dyno runs with a 1M, maybe did and I missed. I always did 4th gear runs till 6700-6800 rpm and results seem allright to me. Important is to have a baseline as usual and follow the same procedure every other time.

Did you mean 4th? I don't know anyone doing pulls in 3rd.

Actually, yes. 4th gear is best here.
