Uh this is baseline dyno. No idea why it is reading so high on torque. All I have done is injen intake and magnaflow exhaust.
Haven't done the other thing... Yet

tell me you're sticking a monster turbo on it, no intercooler, and a nitrous bottle the size of homer simpsons fat ass.

Can't wait to see what you have in store, though you may want to consider trying a different dyno. It seems this one measures a little high and may not be calibrated. If your talking about that new tune being offered from a different company, good luck! They seem to be a very reputable company. I got offered to be a guinea pig for them, but im doing all my suspension work first

This dyno doesn't make sense. Torque/HP are supposed to be the SAME at 5252 RPM. They're not. The torque scale is wrong, put the same scale as the HP and you'll have your real torque numbers.

uhh, updates are not very good.
Ran into some $$ issues so can't afford mods anymore : ( However, I believe the company is releasing their tune soon, and I think you guys will like what you see

Mind telling us what company it is now that you are gonna wait out?
I was really hoping turnermotorsports would release their 128i turbo setup.

Seriously, what the hell is this thread even about? Dude starts a "teaser" almost 3 months ago, posts some screwed up dynos, and then never says anything else. Spit it out already...

I was helping out evolve test out their tune for the 128i coupe. They are a euro based company and wanted a US spec car to test their tune. They (and I) wanted to do before and after dynos for the tune. Many companies such as AA and OE tuning state gains, but don't have any 1 series dynos to back it up. AA is a great company, and obviously everyone knows how good they are, and how happy people are with the results, but I don't think there are any dynos. So, I found the closest dyno place, and this was my first time doing a dyno. I just left them with the keys, and the guy didn't even know how to turn on my car. I should have known at that point I should have gone elsewhere. They came back later and told me that they couldn't measure the torque figure because my car was DI and they didn't have the right cable. I told them it was not, and they were like o , never mind. I went to the back to see what the ruckus was. They also didn't like the fact that my car was automatic, they said it was harder to measure. A few minutes later, the guy stops and says my car has a CEL, but that it occurred at the last dyno run, so that they were done. They also didn't use a fan to cool the car. I didn't realize it until after and called them the next day. I asked them why not, and they said it was an extra fee and not necessary. They gave me my dynos, where I told them the torque was reading a bit high. They just gave me the generic "o, dynos don't always read 100% accurate". All of the runs were similar so those are your numbers. Then, personal issues came up. My boss told me that he couldn't pay me for summer research I do at university(they only pay during fall and spring semesters, not summer), so my modding funds were cut off. That and the fact that I couldn't find another job, and tuition was raised, I decided personally to leave this project due to low $$ So, I am sorry for not updating this post. I kinda forgot about it. I am just as disappointed as you guys, I was hoping to bring something new and exciting for us 128i guys, and failed. Now, that does not mean hope is lost. Evolve is a great company from what I can tell and my experience with them. They have been nothing but support and kind people with me. They offered me to refund me for the first dyno if I was go to a different dyno place and restart, but like I said, no funds now. They replied to their e-mails very quickly, and were always positive and happy people. Very professional. So, while I cannot say ALL the details because the tune is not out yet, and because I am not part of their company in any way, so I don't have a say, I can't tell too much. I do not know final price, final gains, etc. Here is what I can say: 1) If you look at evolves website, (and on here), their tunes come with a OBII cable. What does this mean? A) No having to go to a place for tune. The biggest beef with me is that there is no OE or AA dealership near me. I am NOT sending out my ECU, so the fact that this comes with a cable to upload your tunes is a BIG plus. Think of it as the cobb accessport. B) Custom tunes. If you have intake and exhaust, they can make custom tunes to give you more power and gains. Want a tune for 100 octane, just tell them, and they e-mail you a new file with the tune. C) Quick uploads, and stock ecu map is saved onto the device. This is a better way to defend against dealerships. Just reinstall the stock tune before going to dealership. No need to worry about dealerships updating your software. D) While I do not know about this type of things yet for the 128i, but more customization. On their website, on other bmw's, they have things such as rev limiter removal, remove top speed, and more personal options. For the 128i, I let them know how the AT seems slow because of the throttle, so I would expect some change in the throttle. Like I said guys, nothing is guaranteed, but this is what I know so far. It is MY fault that I had to leave unexpectedly. I feel bad also for just kinda leaving evolve there in the middle of testing. But, just because I failed does not mean others can't join. If any of you guys are interested, i would PM paul@evolve, they are vendors here on the forums and great people. Here is the thread for the 135 to get more info about their products and company http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...ghlight=evolve http://www.evolveautomotive.com/

Hey, things happen and I understand why you couldn't go any further. I don't want you thinking I brought the thread back from the dead to be an ass and brash with you like someone else that just posted It's cool that you tried at least. What was going to be the total price to do all the test??? Just the fact that their method lets you use OBDII cable instead of pulling the ECU out and sending to them is a big + to me. They first contacted me, but I was doing other things at the time. Maybe I'll go through with it
