only when I know I'm going to "squirt" into another lane in traffic. Being in the optimal gear at the time is better than waiting for the downshift. Even then, I could just use the stick... Even so, I'm still glad I have it

In the summer about 95% of the time. Only put it in D when I am stuck in rush hour which is rare for me. I even use paddles about 75% of the time the wife is in the car. However in the winter 95% of the time I am in D with the sport button off just putting along in the snow.

I use them sometimes when I'm alone. Although I must admit that I prefer the shifter. I use them more often in winter when I launch so I can take off in second or third gear, which is all winter mode is in some cars.

70% of the time for upshifting.. always for downshifting (to avoid all that terrible brake dust, oh and the sound )

On my DCT I drive in manual mode all the time, so 100% of the time I use the paddles.

That was intentional. I was curious if it might differ between DCT and non-DCT owners. I've read that the old paddle-shifters were poorly designed, and I wondered if that might have an impact on their usage.
The DCT population may be too small for useful results.
