You had the dumbo ears before though so it definitely improves on that

It's funny that this topic comes up because I was literally just looking at this last night.

I personally love the look of the M3/1M mirrors but there are a couple concerns. It costs A LOT, especially if you go the CF caps route and secondly, I'm not quite sure that it works on the car from certain angles without some kind of widebody. Especially the front.

In saying that. I know of a supplier in germany that sells these kits at a really reasonable price. 499 Euro before shipping. United sells them at about US$750 I think. If you go CF caps all up you'd be looking at around AUD$1400-1500 shipped...

But yeah, feel free to PM me if you want to order the mirrors anyway and I can link you to the site. I'm looking to possibly grab something from the same supplier so we may as well save on shipping. Which coincidentally is very reasonable from that supplier the last time I used him.

They look great! I would consider a group buy, just need to find out if they would fit an E88.

dr.bmw, they are genuine 1M mirrors. To my knowledge there is no aftermarket 1M mirror kit.

If you want to find out where you can get them, just send me a PM and I can give you a few details.

As you said above, ANYTHING looks better than the Dumbo Ears... Also, My car is lowered and I think they work. I agree that they might look a little out of place on a stock height car but they actually dont stick out as far as the standard mirrors and they are angled back to make them look more "tucked".

Genuine BMW parts except for the CF Caps. They're Autotechnika. Full replacements though, not slip-on covers. Actually cost less to get them than to get the OEM caps painted.

They look great on your car from that angle haha. Do you have any other shots by any chance? Square on front/back? I'd like to see what it looks like on the lowered car.

But yeah I remember seeing the full replacement CF caps on ebay for a great price. It's a pity they don't make standard full replacement CF caps for our cars...the slips on look shit (pardon my french). How's the quality on them?

Here ya go:

The quality of the caps is fantastic:
They're actually a 3X3 weave - which I did't realise until after I'd bought them but I really like it...

Thanks.... and yeah, BMWP stuff is all 2X2 but the mirrors are far enough away from any other CF stuff on the car that you'd actually have to go looking for a difference...

One key thing which we need to be mindful of is to get RHD 1M mirrors, not the LHD.

the angles of the mirrors are different - correct me if im wrong.

The ones I got are Omni Sided. (If that is a term )

The electronics work with RHD and the Glass is the same on both sides. Slightly blue tint, with the Convex "section" at the outside, and the vertical separator line.

Harlequin, sorry to resurrect an old post, but I'm just doing some research about the laterality of these 1M wing mirror housings; when doing a RealOEM search, the LHD Non-powerfold, non-heating housings and the RHD counterparts have different part numbers, so my impression is that they may have differences.

Could you confirm whether the housings you have are OEM and if so, when you say omni sided, do you mean that the angles on the RHD and the LHD housings are the same?

I read that the M3 E92 housings are different so some owners had difficulties when fitting LHD housings to RHD housings.
