i'm looking for advice.
I tried calling tire rack but they are closed today. I'm about to pull the trigger on a set of yoko advan a048's, they are on closeout for over 50% off, I feel like I need these. What do you guys think about 225/40 and 235/40? I want to get as close to square as I can without buying new wheels. I should get tons more grip in the front while gaining a little more in the rear with these tires over the stock 245 size bridgestones. Any thoughts.

Are you going to use them on a circuit to get them properly up to temperature?
I never tried those AD048. From what I've read they don't seem like the most user friendly R-Comp if you are new to driving on them. Some people complain that after a few heat cycles they are hard to get up to temperature. Depending you your usage, it might be better to look at AD08, or Toyo R888 R-comp that will offer an easier learning curve and probably longer life as well. |

Yeah, I just saw the closeout price and got excited. I will probably go with rs-3's or star specs in the sizes mentioned above.

If you've never driven on a high performance street tire, stepping to R-Comps are a bad choice.
They do not communicate well, and when they lose grip they do not predictably let go, they just snap. If you are not aware of this (and use to it) you might end up in a wall |
