Wheel Spacers - Do I need them - PICS

I have pics of my car currently in this thread: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1031283

I was wondering if i need to put spacers on my car? maybe something like 10mm - 15mm spacers just a little extra for when I lower the car with coilovers this coming spring. I did notice when i took the real wheels off of the car that the inside of the wheel had some rubbing marks, i can post pics if needed. nothing major but enough to get my attention. any thoughts or setups running similar wheel/tires?

SPECS
Front:
18x8 standard spoke
42mm offset
tires = 215/40/18

Rear:
18x9.5 Concaved Spoke
45mm offset
tires = 245/35/18

Looking at your specs, it seems that you wouldn't "NEED" spacers. Of course, that can vary depending on how much negative camber you're running as well as how flush you'd like the wheels to sit.

Adding spacers to your current setup will reduce clearance on the outboard (fender) side. Adding spacers will reduce the size tire you can fit and reduce performance. However, some people like the "stance" look and care more about that then performance. If you want "stance" stop reading my post here.

You are currently wasting a lot of space inboard on the rears, which can be up to +58 to +62 or so, letting you fit most 265/35/18 performance street tires, even some 275/35/18. You cannot do this with your +45 offset. It's too low, and there's no way to fix this without purchasing one of the few wheels that have that super high offset (ex. Apex ARC-8).

Your fronts are close to optimal. 18x8.5 +45 fits and with some extra camber can fit up to 255/35/18 performance tires for reference.

General rule of thumb for best performance is to maintain the factory offset until you run out of space on either side. Then it varies, but usually you can't move the strut or inner wall of the car, so you start reducing offset (spacers or new wheels), add camber (up to a point, too much reduces performance), roll fenders, cut or heat and mold liners, etc. as you add tire and wheel width in an attempt to run as much tire as possible. For a 135i, you'll probably never fit "enough" tire given the power and weight of the car. If I could make it fit I would probably do 295/315 front/rear. I can dream! =\
