Just installed Yokohama iceGUARD iG52c

After much debate of to get new 17" winter wheels, tires, TPMS, etc. or to use the stock 18" wheels with winter tires, and save for new summer wheels. I got the Yokohama iceGUARD iG52c in 225/40R18 square as recommended in the forum as well as on 1addict. Had them installed last weekend at firestone and the temps have been in the 40s the last week! (chicago) Right now the tires are easy to spin and acting just like winter tires should on dry pavement. Can't wait to get some snow and try these bad boys out. The ride is a bit noticeable going from Run-flat to reg tires, but not as drastically as i thought it would be. Will update when I get some white stuff around to play in.

Been up to Wisco and It's been snowing here as well. Tires are holding up great. Just what winter tires are supposed to do; get traction and control. Having no issues as of yet (1"-4" snow so far). Glad I got these tires and saved a bit of money. I don't know how much better other tires would have been because these are my first set of winters. Over about 80 mph its kind of squirrely, but guess your not supposed to be going that fast in winter. Happy with my purchase and now the search for summer wheels starts!
