Oh so that's where she's happy!

This is my first real long ride in my new to me 135i.
She's my daily driver and my daily drive to and from work is an amazing 10 miles.

This past Christmas I took the car to upstate NY to see my parents, 3 hours at let's call it a steady 80mph. And I have to say I was amazed not only at how well the car behaved with respect to wind noise and general comfort on this ride but also on how efficiently the engine ran!
At a steady 80mph on hilly highways I calculated just north of 30mph for this car! I was simply amazed that a twin turbo 3.5l engine got the same MPG as my old 1.8T VW!

BRAVO! I am amazed and delighted! Not bad not bad at all!

Be careful. You will find that she is very happy at 85 and 90 mph. Most State Police, on the other hand, become very unhappy at these speeds.

I live in VA and was in CT this past holiday. I enjoy the drive when there's no traffic. my car likes 85-90, but I hit 110MPH chasing after 650i. It was fun!

I live in Brooklyn but just yesterday I decided to go north and get lost...4 hours later I ended up in Vermont. The car is so comfortable I felt like I could go more, but had to get home. I spent 8 Hours seat time total through 4 different states - some of it spent playing tag with a E36 M3. Good times...

i hate driving slow here in cali. I have to drive around 55-60 most times but recently i took a long drive and averaged around 80mph.. I noticed my MPG went up conciderably going faster than going slower. lol.
I miss Germany ! sigh...

It is funny isn't it! At 55-65mph I get all of 22mpg.....ok not the best but ok...
At 80mph I get a solid and I'm not kidding here 33mpg! How the heck is that even possible! Why is going faster giving me more MPG! Sure I wasn't pushing the car rather we were just humming on the high way at 75-85mph and well a little over 160 miles on half a tank! ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME! This car can get that kind of MPG at that speed! What are the American car co's doing wrong! Ever push a Mustang to that speed?
You can watch the needle drop!
This is not right! I will just have to take this car on various road trips from now on!
Not only is she a great daily driver! But hell she is a highway rocket ship!
Drive past one of those pretentious bastards in a Prious pull down the window and shout! 3L, Twin Freaking Turbos and 33-35mpg at 85mph and an exhaust note that will cause panties to EXPLODE! What you think about that BITCH!
You may want to leave out the bitch part....your call.

Hey Shah, are you using "the oil" that we talked about? People have reported an 3-5mpg increase on the highway.
