Where to get oil change?
Anyone know of a good place to do this at, besides the dealership? I'm out of warranty now, and before you recommend to DIY it, I'm not mechanically inclined whatsoever (unlike most of you.) Dealer charges $199 + tax, just wondering if it's better to go somewhere else.

You could try user: DriveHard 's dealership. I remember him saying they don't charge that much for the oil service. Its on L.I. somewhere.
Or maybe look in your local Yellow Pages for the nearest BOSCH service center. There must be some good shops in your area. Heck even NPR's Click and Clack's website has a good mechanic finder on their website. http://www.cartalk.com/mechanics-files

Over here (in Germany) an oil change runs about $300. I have heard of some charging way more. ~$450 ish. A liter of oil runs about 23 to 33 euros PER liter. Most dealers charge 110 euros per hour. I think IF you found a dealer who charges ~$140 I would do it. IF you were to order a discounted oil change kit from one of the vendors here... your gonna pay about $70 for oil and filter. Plus your time changing the oil yourself. I would not take MY car to any grease monkey oil change chain. That would just be asking for trouble. At least with going to a dealer you know the job will be done right. I have seen lots of guys here use a BMW CCA discount card and or a service sales flyer. I think you should be able to get this done.

Just go to Firestone. It always takes forever for them to get the new filter but it's under $100. Can't remember if it's $80 or $90, but definitely better than $200.
