Exterior mods AW 135i
I painted the front grill and the side mirror covers with plasti dip.
3M Black gloss carbon fiber on both the roof and spoiler. I also got some carbon fiber emblems, next I'm thinking about getting the smoked amber gone for the headlights and tinting the white piece on the reverse tail lights, what do you guys think so far? Sorry for the night time pics ill take some tomorrow morning Last edited by RabbidSasquatch; 12-25-2011 at 10:49 AM.. Reason: more pics in the light are gonna be uploaded later on today |

About 8 hrs because I did it gloss black at first and I hated it so the installer put carbon fiber and had to remove all the adhesive and start over, so I would say 4 hrs - 5 hrs for the cf roof. Also carbon fiber looks way better than gloss black if your deciding between the two.

CF looks way better. One final question. In round numbers, how much was the sheet CF?

from ebay:http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-CARBON-F...3&cmd=ViewItem
but the rear emblem I would suggest to use stickers on the OEM emblem rather than the cf emblem since its not concave and you would need double sided adhesive tape to stick it on, and wrap the little studs on the emblem to increase their width to fit in the trunk hole where it was originally held. |

Never really understood this fake CF craze. I mean, isn't it similar to putting an ///M badge on the back? Won't you feel a bit silly when people come up saying "cool carbon fiber roof!" and you have to reply "nah, it's just vinyl..."

Looks really good!
Thinking about the same "theme" of carbon fiber and black touches to my white 135, I just have to do it all without voiding my warranty (unfortunately, that may have to involve overpaying for some BMW accessories). The only thing I would add to what you did is a window tint and maybe smoked out tail lights. Any suggestions on how to do this without voiding my warranty would be appreciated!
