Stearing wheel emblem

Was having an argument withthe lady over the phone and punched my steering wheel! Now i have a dented emblem anyone have any ideas on what to do? BMW says that its considered vandalism and wont cover under warranty. They say i have to buy an $850 air bag module? Can i just try to pry the emblem out and replace it with a stick on?

Thanks David

from the picture above (off of realoem.com) it looks like a single unit which is down right idiotic when the exterior can easily be damaged but not the airbag.

I would suggest a properly sized aftermarket roundel with a hard backing to fit over. Talk to the custom production guys like adamaster and see if they have anything that you can adhesive over the original.

Grammar police says it's "steering wheel." And you shouldn't have told the dealership you punched it. They probably would've replaced it.

I know you can buy "aftermarket" emblems hamann/schnitzer/carbon, etc. I'd think you could score a "stock" one.

unfortunately the stock emblem has tabs in the back that actually hook through the airbag portion, and they can't be replaced without taking the airbag off. the aftermarket ones are just discs that peel and stick to the factory emblem.

it's off topic but I just want to say that the picture of the computer generated i series Cozza is using as profile picture is just what the actual 1 series coupé design needed in order to become a really perfect car!

Pry the emblem out and try and straighten it then glue it back. Save money for anger management class.
