Just signed an ED contract for 330i in Bay Area. $345 over invoice. Well, charged $8.75 for California Tire Fee (CTF) instead of $7, considering it's $1.75 per tire and we don't get a spare tire for e90, it's another $1.75 profit for the dealer. Okay, so $346.75 over invoice. ($300 dealer profit + $45 doc fee + $1.75 extra CTF, no MACO, training fee or whatsoever.)

2006 330i
titanium silver metallic
black leather
aluminum Trim
premium hi-fi system
xenon headlights
comfort access
premium package
glass moonloof
sports package

Will pick up the car in Munich on Oct 28th, 2005.
Can't wait!

I just got the car and am loving it!!
Sales tax on cars is on the full cost of the car?!?!? When I bought my MDX my sales tax was only $300. I really couldn't negotiate at the time I got my MDX cuz it was still a new line.

I am planning to order a 330i for Euro delivery in the next few days. Is there anyone else planning to order one in the near future - maybe we can team up to get the best rate from the dealer (2 orders will get better discounts)

How did you get $590 over invoice? Everything he listed is invoice price.

BTW wow to that non stop invoice deal you got. I guess they were desperate to get rid of that BMW you got. Either that or mad props to your negotiation skills

I added the $280 MACO fee to the $310 dealer profit. Just trying to compare prices paid inclusive of any fees (MACO, training, documentation, etc.) vs. the invoice price listed in the sticky.

Wow you got a fully seriously optioned out 325.

Have you tried e-mailing dealers in the SF area if you don't mind traveling 4 hours to pick-up your car. Lot more competition here.

Yes, it just took them a few days to respond. I mailed six northern California dealers offering $800 over ED invoice. Yesterday, two came back with $1000 over ED and one accepted my offer. The two Sacramento dealers have not responded. The dealer I talked to yesterday said I cannot pick up the car, they must deliver it outside of CA for $275(Bay Area to Reno). In the e-mail he put in bold and underlined that I could not legally drive the car to Reno.

I have a second home near Sacramento that I visit often so it is very simple to pick up the car in Sac or the Bay Area. The only other fees for all were a < $50 doc fee. I do not mind paying the $275, though I am not sure I want someone else to drive the car.

I went back to the Reno dealer today, because last week the sales manager said something like "I guarantee that if you can find a lower price and come back to us price will not be a problem". I told them of the offers I had and they said they best they would do was ED invoice + $2500 and $329 for doc fees. This is $39,470 vs $40,950 I would love to buy from my local dealer but for $1700 more and the “go find it cheaper can then come back to us BS” I cannot.

Patience, email and the internet. It's rocket science nowadays. If you give me $10.00 I'll send you the phone #'s of the sales people that will work the deal for you. JK!
