Evolve 1M dyno

Hey guys i was at Eurofest today and saw my friend John Cena haha dynoing and decided to give it a go.

Im evolve tuned full bolt on 1M. I dynoed 401whp and 450wtq. It was done on a dyno dynamics dyno thanks to Tuning tech FS. I figured with a .15 drivetrain loss (400 x .15)=60,

So about 460 flywheel hp and about 510 flywheel tq.

To be honest i have never posted a pic up on here but im guessing you use something like photobucket? Have a picture of the dyno sheet, the car performed really well.

Thanks evolve shooting for around 430 whp on meth so we will see what happens

Edit: Pics are posted, first photo is fully tuned evolve 1M and the second photo is a stock 1m tune with fully catless exhaust no mufflers, just resonators.

Wow, that is very impressive. Would love to see the curve. While peak HP #s are nice, I would rather see something linear.

Can you go into detail about full bolt ons? I am assuming you are talking catless turbo back, fmic and the tune.

Yea haha im trying. John cena is just so stubborn. Let me tell you his meisterschaft, n55 mids and ARs, were def the loudest.

I also ran with AR, berk mids and eisenmann race and they both sound crazy loud on full load. But the meisterschaft just sounds insane,

There was also a supersprint muffler there as well. All cars sounded really good.

Yes they are!! And i believe a dyno dynamics dyno is 18% drivetrain loss actually not 15%,

So by that calculation i would be 472 flywheel hp and 531 flywheel tq

Sorry guys just read up on Tuning tech FS and on my dyno sheet it says dyno dynamics but i think he has the capability through he program to recorrect to dyno jet numbers which seems right on

Dyno jet
-440 crank
-495 crank
-450 wtq
-400 Whp
is what i recorded so if you multiple it by .10 you would get 440 which is perfect to Evolves number 440 crank. If you go off 440 crank and multiply by a dyno dynamics which would be .18 and mustang .15 you would get two diff numbers

Dyno dynamics
-440 crank hp x .18=80
- 495 crank tq x .18= 89
= 360 whp, 405wtq

Mustang dyno
- x .15 from crank numbers

=375whp, 421wtq

Confusing but i got it now haha

Glad you enjoyed the sounds of our exhaust! Nice numbers you put down.

Not true at all. Im not worried about what they 1M stock numbers are, what im worried about is having a car with a flash that is fast as the JB4 n54's.

This dyno was done with dynojet number corrrections so 401whp and 450wtq was perfect. The results were crazy linear and held basically to 6500 rpms, im pretty positive it was a 4th gear dyno as well.

If you look at a JB4 135i map 2. It would put down 400 whp on a dyno jet so im glad i put down the exact same numbers as a jb4 and the dyno is crazy linear.

Great thanks to evolve i should be putting down 430whp with methanol and im going to run a dyno test with the AFE closed soon. My car was full bolt ons except for the stock airbox no drop in filter or anything!!!!

Im on my iphone and ill have to try when i get home. Sorry its hard to upload pics to bimmerpost for me haha. These numbers prove the evolve to be the exact same power as a jb4 135i with 1.4 more hp very linear and with the stock airbox stock filter.

Im wondering to see if the AFE closed will give me any more power. People will be really happy when i do a dyno with the AFe closed and report if there is any numbers gain on a full bolt on car. Dual cone people might not have there Argument that they are the best intakes anymore.

Also their were two other 1Ms that ran. Both on stock tune. One had catless dps, n55 mids, and meisterchaft and dynoed 350whp,

The other had cpe catted dps, catless and non resonated mids, and a supersprint rear muffler. I think he made close to 355whp. Is that baseline enough?

The point of a baseline is not to see what a stock 1M puts down, its to see the actual gains you made on your car with your mods.

If you baselined at around 310whp and your final numbers were 400whp, then obviously its a nice improvement. If you baselined at around 350whp and only gained 50whp, then its not so impressive is it?

+1

Seems like 50whp gains are the norm for a tune.

Yes because the 1M overboost function does push it to 14.5 psi causing it to make almost equal torque of that of a full bolt on jb4 tune in the midrange but up top it tapers alot quicker than a JB4 say. Causing it to have 350whp to jb4 advertise 385-400whp range. It makes perfect sense, if you looking at boost numbers you can see what the car would averagely make. A stock 1m is capable of making 350whp and 410wtq on a dynojet, one person there already dynoed a stock 1M, i see no point in dynoing a stock car. From day one with 5 miles i believe pushing a motor opens it up to its best capabilities and that is what i did on my car. So i feel it would have close to other peoples advertised numbers. 400whp and 450wtq dynos prove alot. It shows a fully catless, intercooled, system with a tune can net you about a 50 whp power increase and judging on the other 1Ms a 70wtq increase
