Mine's on about 12.7... I don't do much highway driving and I have no patience so I overtake a lot

Is there a tune for the 130i to get better economy?
oh that makes me feel better, i'm 90% melbourne city only driving as well getting 13-14 in general.

it dropped down 1L when i put in the BMS powerbox/air filter, but i can pretty much guarantee that its not real, as i believe the powerbox intercepts signals and pumps out more fuel/timing. so the actual computer will be seeing less usage for the miles.

From light to light fillup and calculating it that way its been pretty much the same.

If u want good economy (i tried it only for one tank) try shifting at below 2000rpm, i got 12L/100kms in city.

but really.. life is WAY too short to shift <2000rpm.

I do mostly city driving, and when there's no traffic give it a punt, so my long term average is 13.5.

Double checked this (how much it takes to fill up/divided by actual Ks done) and my last few tanks have actually been between 14-17L/100km

Makes me feel better too, I have hardly seen mine dropped below 12L/100km in city driving, and that is taking it easy. I reset mine on every tank.

My car has done 80,000kms with original spark plug, I should change that to see if it helps.

I thought BMW says they last for 100k. According to my service indicator, it says to change in 20k. And past service history shows no sign of the plugs being replaced.

U seem surprised. Should I have change them already?

for us heavily tuned N54 we should change them a lot more regularly - probably not the case for you N52 (changed mine at 30,000km).

The 125 would fluctuate a lot.

City driving around 10 or 11. On the freeway at 115 it would get me 7.0 flat, once getting 6.7 for a 450km trip.

Yeah I have a severe lead infection in my right foot and an auto gearbox so shifting at under 2000 is not possible.

Even in 6th @ 100kph it's doing 2100.

Maybe a longer diff ratio would sort that out but for the price it wouldn't be worth it, and probably make bugger all difference around town.

If you're driving a 135i (or any performance car, for that matter), I'd think the last thing you'd be worried about is gas mileage...

Lol I reset mine before going on track. I chuckle when at the end of the 4 sessions or 50 or so laps it says a whopping 6.9 mpg. You guys can do the conversion. Lol.

I do the same & it registers ~30lt/100km. I'm wondering if this is the max figure it can show as I think I'm actually doing much worse than that.

should be 2500? as 3000 is 120km/h (well, it is for me.. i'd like longer gearing tbh).. unless i have different ratios :/

With my N54 i get about 7 on the highway, 10-12 in the start stop and about 15 driving angry.
All up i have averaged 10.8 over the last 29,000kms.

Best achieved range out of a tank (ODO plus remaining DTE) was about 620kms going back and forth to the gold coast.

I try to care about the environment, i really do.
I even converted the house to be a net solar electricity producer.
But when it comes to the car and slow traffic, the red mist decends and buggered if i can see the environment at all.
