Whould this work?

Front:

You're better off going with a square setup for your winters...

Yes, it's perfectly clever. It is best to have a square setup for winter tires, you want as narrow tires as you reasonably can get.

For winter you want 7j x 17" setup. 205/50R17's all around.

The reason is you want the narrowest and tallest tires to tackle the snow. Skinny tires give the tire more PSI (pounds per square inch) of pressure - bitting into the snow/ice.

You don't want eight inch wide wheels bc this will change the tire patch foot print - for the worse for a winter setup. You want the narrowest wheels, so that is sevens.

Ok, but which highest # of wheels offsets can I go with? Because I don't want to buy new rims, I'm looking to used ones, for example from 3rd series. Can it be "17 j7 or j7.5 and ET35 will it be still inside fender?

I think 17 x 7 ET35 will work with 205/50/17 on the front, but not j7.5 with ET35...I am not an expert, but I am looking at rims and winter tires as well.

I tried to use that calculator, so it works. And I know that 205 maybe better on real snow but mostly roads are cleaned and wet so I think better to go with 225 at least rear and narow tyres is better for driving, so front 205

P.S. wheel calculator http://www.rimsntires.com/rt_specs.jsp

Go for a square setup. You can rotate your tires.
