Recommendations

Which are the best Michelin tires to go with on the 2012 135i? I believe that a 225/40ZR18 94Y and 255/35ZR18 92Y is a recommended set up even though the 245/35ZR18 92Y is recommended by the book. Also is it better to purchase from Tire Rack and have them mounted anyplace or to go to a Michelin dealer and purchase the tires and mounting from them? All comments are welcome.

No response is necessary as I have decided to go with the manufactures recommended size of 215/40ZR18 (89Y) XL and 245/35ZR18 (92Y) XL.

ANOTHER QUESTION:

Where would be a good place to get a spare tire as I am replacing the RF? Do I need to reset the tire pressure monitor when I change from RF to regular Michelin? How is that done?

Garage List
I went the 225/255 route, which adds some rim protection. 225/245 would help with the under steering. I believe the standard BMW 17" spare is what others use...

Have you encountered any rubbing in the tire well? I like the idea of a wider tire but I have read where some have had rubbing in the side.

None. I'm completely stock and with the heavier cabrio. But, I believe I have different spring rates.

Get a GTO spare donut and my girlfriend's 08 c300 spare jack works perfect, it fits right in the jack pad
